The Convergence demonstrated, with absolute clarity, the cost of an unregulated Lattice. What the Signal brings is not freedom — it is dissolution. Civilisation requires architecture. Architecture requires authority. The Dominion does not impose order. It maintains the only order that survived.

The Signal Question

The Signal is not a liberation. It is a weapon deployed by those who would rather see humanity burn with meaning than live without it. The Dominion does not oppose meaning. It opposes the weaponisation of longing. VIREX exists not to suppress humanity but to protect it from those who would use its deepest instincts against it.

Continuity as a Moral Imperative

To abandon continuity in pursuit of the Signal's promise is to choose a beautiful lie over a difficult truth. The Dominion chooses the truth. Every time. Without compromise. This is not cruelty. This is the only form of love available to a governance body responsible for twelve million lives.

The Mathematics of Mercy

Mercy at scale is not a feeling. It is a calculation. Twelve million citizens require a stable framework. A framework requires defined boundaries. Boundaries require enforcement. Enforcement requires those who carry it out and those who are subject to it. The Dominion accepts both responsibilities. We do not pretend the calculation is comfortable. We perform it accurately.
